Black Country canals #photography
We went out to take some photographs yesterday around the Black Country and the canals are an obvious place to look for interesting pictures. We were lucky enough to spot a narrow-boat negotiating top-lock at Tipton.
Zooming in can make the shot a lot more interesting. The narrow-boats share the canal with walkers, anglers and cyclists. The Black Country Fun Run from Wolverhampton to Birmingham goes along that towpath too.
This shot seems to contrast the old with the modern and I captured the action with a zoomed in, wide aperture shot.
This guy has a less energetic and more relaxed way of enjoying the canal.
This bit of tranquil canal is the Walsall Canal at Ocker Hill, close to Lady Edna moorings. Access now is from a modern housing estate.
This bush was growing across the towpath, it needs cutting back. It gave me an interesting shot though.
