Black Country Day disabled parking.

It is Sunday morning and once again I’ll share my thoughts with you. I nearly forgot, which is why I’m late. I missed the Wednesbury Carnival yesterday because I couldn’t find a place to park. There is a play area that they could use for disabled parking but they don’t bother so I went to Darlaston instead. I got some really good pictures on Black Country Day, so that’s all right.

Black Country Day

I tried to get a good picture of the Black Country flag flying being as it was Black Country Day but couldn’t get a good one. I did get some wide aperture shots of the performers. I even experimented a little with the editing looking for something different. This is Jessie Desai and I tilted this image slightly to try to get more into the frame.

Emma Purshouse

Emma Purshouse

This is Emma Purshouse one of the 100 Masters and a renowned poet. She gave us an excellent performance. I think with poetry the skill is in the performance more so than the writing of it. I think Shakespeare is a kind of poetry that has to be performed; just read out, it can be boring.

Black Country Day in Darlaston 2018

This gentleman reminded me of Hercule Poirot and so I had to take his picture. Out of the three passers-by I managed to take photos of the two that I asked, which I was quite pleased with. I ended the day with a nice selection of wide aperture close-ups.

So I missed the carnival but things worked out and Black Country Day was a great day for photography.
