Now what was my backup plan?

Sam's dream and my backup plan

This is a weekend of celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday. I photographed this event yesterday which went well until the heavens opened. I’m getting to be quite a good sky watcher and weather predictor and was in my car driving home when the rain came down. That was my backup plan. (more…)

Promote local #community

Promote local WEDNESBURY

I went out last night taking photos in the twilight. It can be a good time as the light is less harsh. I managed to photograph a couple of pubs and other businesses. Just putting photos on Facebook is helping to promote local business. It’s not just small businesses that I want to promote, though. (more…)

Redhouse Park in February 2012

If you’re a regular reader you’ll know on a Sunday morning I just ramble on about whatever is on my mind. This morning it’s photography, because I photographed the Carnival yesterday. I think a few people will want to see pictures, so I’ll ramble less today! (more…)

Aethelflaed – weird or strange?

Aethelflaed

If you’re a regular reader you’ll know I just write about whatever is on my mind on a Sunday morning. This morning it’s Anglo-Saxon history. I’m the admin now of the History of Wednesbury Facebook Page and so I have been researching our history. The early history was written by monks. (more…)

Bohemianism

Bohemianism is the practice of an unconventional lifestyle, often in the company of like-minded people, with few permanent ties, involving musical, artistic, or literary pursuits. In this context, Bohemians may be wanderers and adventurers. (Wikipedia) (more…)

History defines culture

WEDNESBURY MAP 8 X 10

I usually make pictures smaller so they will upload quickly to the internet, but this weekend I worked out a way of making digital images bigger, so I could see if there was any loss of definition. I made this map larger. (more…)
