Space junk
I read this morning that the rise in space junk could provoke armed conflict. This comes from the Guardian which is far more worrying than if it came from the Sun or the Mail. This space junk flying around could crash into a military satellite and be construed as an attack. (more…)
Sunday thoughts #ramble
Yes, we have snow. It looks nice, but baby it’s cold outside! I have to clear my path and a way to my car and then clear the car. Snow landscapes can be very pretty but also difficult to take and I suspect there is ice under that snow, so driving will be difficult. (more…)

Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability to recognize one’s own and other people’s emotions, to discriminate between different feelings and label them appropriately and to use emotional information to guide thinking and behaviour.
I don’t watch much TV, but I watched Casualty last night. Lily Chao is played by Crystal Yu. She is the no nonsense Chinese doctor who has just passed her exams to become a registrar. (more…)
