Chipping away at life #life #photography

Do you remember that film the Shawshank Redemption? The prisoner keeps chipping away at the wall in his cell with a rock hammer, covering the hole with a movie poster. I thought there was a lesson to be learnt in that story that you can chip away and get what you want or where you’re going, eventually. Just keep chipping away…

Art cards

My art cards project is just another small project towards a greater end. I’m not really sure what the greater end is but this is a step in the right direction. Google started out doing internet searches at no charge and now its Alphabet company is one of the most valuable in the world. I’ve done a lot of free photography and my aim wasn’t to become rich but there was an aim. I simply want recognition. I think I’m getting close to realising that goal.

Chipping away

Yes, I’m chipping away at life with one creative project after another but I’m making slow progress and no one notices the hole in the wall! I have done many designs to create photos that are different. This week I’ve been combining a few images together just to keep myself amused and to see what I can create.

Collections

I’ve collected postcards and art cards for over 50 years. What good can come of that? I think it has helped me get my art cards just right. After all, when you are having 2,000 printed there isn’t really room for error. I think this combination picture could work for the next card I have printed. It is tricky getting the aspect ration just right, though.

I think selling the art cards will be another example of just chipping away at a problem. It is going to take some time and although I am letting people who want to sell them for me have them at half price or less I haven’t had any offers to sell them yet. If it takes years of chipping away, I’ll get there eventually. My backup plan is to give them to charities and allow them to sell them to raise funds for the charity.

That’s it for today. They say patience is a virtue! If you would like to follow my blog just enter your email address at the top of the sidebar or follow me on Twitter for links to the latest posts. You can also find links on my Facebook page.
