Christmas countdown #Wednesbury
We have the Christmas Lights switch-on on Friday with Dayton Grey and there will be fundraising for Sam’s Dream. Click the poster below to bring it up larger to see all the attractions.
The Christmas Lights switch-on in West Bromwich is tomorrow at 6pm on the High street. I won’t be going to that but there is a Christmas Fayre on Sunday at West Bromwich registry office in the High Street that I might take a look at. There is the lights switch-on in Tipton on Friday but I’ll be at the Wednesbury one taking photos. If you see me, say hello!
In the library
We have a solo art exhibition this week in our beautiful library. That exhibition is by Jan Millard Hurp and you can find more information on her Facebook page.
Christmas book launch
We have a book launch too and it is the very best of the Ryder’s annuals. This should be an amazing book because it is co-authored by well-known historian Bev Parker. The book launch is on Saturday, 3rd of December at Wednesbury library from 10 am until 12 noon.
The Walsall switch-on is on Sunday 4th of December in the market square. It is a great idea to have it on a Sunday but where would I park the car?
Libby Rose Robbins, our local Pageant princess and model will be at the Wednesbury Christmas Lights switch-on and will hopefully hand out photos to the children. Libby is from Darlaston so will be available in the future for charity events too. You might see her helping Santa over Christmas too.
That’s it for this week, we have a few events to and remember that Wednesbury Celebrates has events at the town hall too. Ticket source has a list of events. It’s Nicky Moran Comedy and Cabaret tomorrow.
