Fishing for bargains #thrifty
The super-six at Aldi this week are peaches (4/5), little gem lettuce (2), galia melon, large vine tomatoes, runner beans and apricots. They are all 49p except for the little gem lettuce at 39p for two.
There are also some meat offers. I’m never very impressed with the meat offers. Their sausages are usually nice, but I have to wait for the gluten free ones to come into stock. I think Aldi should try harder to restock items that sell well. Even the mints at the checkout haven’t been restocked.
The special buys today are too varied to mention them all. There are some nice vintage looking cushions and vintage food tins. I think they will be reduced in a week or two. The lantern I mentioned last week was reduced and half price at 1.49 this week. I bought another one.
The Sunday special buys are all about fishing. There are rods, clothing and even a shelter. The starter set is just 9.99.
Fishing is quite popular in the Black Country and it gives you an excuse to spend a day in a nice quiet scenic spot. I prefer photography!
That’s it for this week, I hope you’re enjoying summer. I’m finding it a little wet, in fact they say it could be the wettest July on record.
