Intentions, plans and hopes for the year.

What is your word of the year? If you could choose one word to sum up your intentions, plans and hopes for the year – what would it be? Share your word! You could create some word art, calligraphy, poetry, or even take a photo that captures that word. That is today’s challenge from #64MillionArtists. Of course, I have done the challenge.

Intentions, plans and hopes

Shoot for the moon

If you’re going to aim high, you might as well shoot for the moon! Even if you miss you’ll land above the stars! Art and photography are about experiences and enjoyment. You have to get some satisfaction from it or what is the point? If you’re going to do something boring and mind-numbing you might as well choose something that will make lots of money. Photography just seems to cost me money!

Intentions, plans and hopes for the year

My intentions, plans and hopes for the year really depend on whether my health improves. My immune system has been doing some strange things just lately but hopefully, a change of medication will bring it back under control. My intentions, plans and hopes are therefore more hopes than anything else.

Yes, it will be the Blast Photography festival this year which will take place in the six towns of Sandwell and so an event to look forward to. It is being organised by Multistory with Arts Council funding. Blast! is a festival of photography, talks and walks that will take place over six weeks across the six towns of Sandwell from 24 May to 29 June 2019.

Sandwell Pride of Place Project

The Sandwell Pride of Place Project is part of the Blast! festival so you can join our group on Facebook now and perhaps share your photos with us? This project is run by the Caravan Gallery who will be back in Sandwell for the festival.

So my intentions, plans and hopes for 2019 are quite positive. I will be doing more art projects and taking lots of photographs. I’m also looking at new subjects to photograph and new ways to photograph them. I might even move up to a full frame camera. I desperately need a lottery win!

That’s all for today, I think I’ll end with a few photos!
