Neodigital Art and photography

A Toll End

Neodigital Art is about taking digital photos and scans and trying to create art. I don’t think this photo is very artistic, it’s nice but not exactly unique. It looks very different from the photo that I took in the same place last winter.

A canal boats

This picture is more interesting, but again it doesn’t take a lot of creativity to take a picture like this. I did have to take it through a chain-link fence though.

More work did go into this one and you do have to know what makes a good subject and what doesn’t. I was looking to contrast the man made with the natural in this picture. I particularly wanted to capture the rivets in the structure.

I usually avoid having people in the shot, but it seems to make this picture, especially the kids fishing. It seems to typify a summers day in the Black Country.

These are pleasant pictures, but not particularly artistic, I haven’t used much creativity in creating them. They are pleasant enough to go on a wall though…

I suppose some people would consider this to be trendy and artistic; but in reality, I was just sitting in the car testing the camera…

What do you think? What do you accept as art? What do you want to see on the walls of art galleries or on the wall of your living room? Please comment and share your views. You can also follow me on Twitter for updates or subscribe for regular emails.

  1. Oh Mike, You’re making it difficult for me to choose today! I really like each one of them, even the car photo, which looks like it belongs on a new car website or in a brochure. The under the bridge photo is moody. Tje gardens are beautiful. Each one has its own strengths.

My favorite is probably the garden picture. 🙂

  2. Hi Carolyn,

Did you notice, I have a new header too! I suppose the car one does look like a brochure picture. My car is 16 years old though. It still goes so I keep it! People tell me to change it, but it’s always reliable. I had a new battery last week, but I rarely spend money on it. These photos were taken with the Nikon D3200. I’m starting to notice the difference now I’m getting used to it.
