Neodigital Art: dereliction
You can often create an artistic image from a photograph of dereliction. In this case an abandoned railway. I simply added some warmth to this photo, to bring out the winter colours of the leaves and the grass.
This is the same railway track and for this image I used the fish-eye option in PhotoScape and added a border too. It gives it a nostalgic look and it’s a little intriguing as we wonder where that railways line goes. In fact there is a lot of undisturbed land there, near the river. That would be a great place to go treasure hunting with a metal detector.
This where the track goes under the bridge. I cropped this picture and levelled it up. If you take quite large photos, you can crop a lot off to get the image you want. I’m taking photos at 6,000 by 4,000 pixels now. I am trying to get one suitable for a calendar though.
This photo of an old factory looks quite artistic with a sunset in the background. I think the trees silhouetted against the sky make the picture more interesting too.
What do you think of today’s pictures. Do you have any dereliction in your area worth photographing? Please comment and share your thoughts. You can also follow me on Twitter. I welcome emails from others experimenting with Neodigital Art too.
