Neodigital Art | Winter weather

Cambridge art

This photograph was taken last weekend by Fei Ye, an International student from China who is studying at my local University in Wolverhampton. It was taken in Cambridge, where it rained all day. The shot wasn’t straight and so I straightened it a little and edited it to make it a little more artistic. It’s unusual and has lots of depth as the canal goes away from us.

Spooky

Taking photographs on a rainy day is a challenge, but taking night photos when it’s foggy is even more so! I intended to take this one before the street lamps came on, but they came on a fraction of a second before I took the shot. Then to add to the eerie scene, a car approached too. That church is spooky at anytime.

TOLL END 016

I took this photo of a strange canal bridge on Sunday, despite the cloudy weather. This is unusual because it appears that the canal the bridge used to go over has been filled in and a road built there; but the bridge remains.

TOLL END 022

This shot down the canal is interesting because of the reflections on the water. I did take a shot of the other bridge and had to edit it extensively to get rid of all the graffiti. I’ll use that picture for a post about editing out unwanted stuff!

Brunswick Park

I took this picture a year ago today and it was really sunny. This was the local Victorian park. Brunswick Park is one of the many parks built in Victorian times on derelict land. The big problem when I was taking these photos was shadows, especially getting my own shadow in the photo. It’s a nice reminder of how nice the weather was last year; before the rains came!
