Offers online and offline #thrifty

The Aldi super-six offers have changed this week, they are sweet pointed peppers, white mushrooms (380g), romaine lettuce (2), cocktail vine tomatoes (250g), mild onions (4) and fun-size pears. They are all 59p and the offers continue to Wednesday the 23rd of September.

There are sausages and burgers to choose from in the meat offers. The weather here has gone quite chilly and we need to switch from salads to baked potatoes with sausages.

Today’s special buys includes a slow cooker for 12.99 and there are other kitchen related items too. I might look at the slow cooker, that might be useful for soups and stews in the autumn and winter.

The top special buy on Sunday is the 40 inch ultra HD television. The rest of the special buys are rugby related and ladies clothing.

Poundland offers

Poundland has it’s offers online now and they do case deals. A case of Heinz soup might make a good gift for a student returning to university; at least then they won’t starve!

Matalan has a lots of offers, but road works means I get stuck in traffic if I try to go there. Traders complain about parking charges, but silly road schemes and lack of parking are the most serious problems.

It seems we will all look for offers online more now because of traffic and parking problems and so Poundland has made a wise move. There is £4.00 delivery unless you spend over £50. Matalan also offers free delivery on orders over £50, but not in conjunction with any checkout promotional code, so watch for that little catch…

Amazon offers

The big player in online shopping who always have offers is Amazon. They have daily deals, but they are not always good offers. They often try to sell you the most expensive model rather than showing you all the products in your search for example. They will also omit information in the product description. The item might look like it’s leather, but unless it says real leather, it probably isn’t.

Debenhams offers

You can even shop at Debenhams now and get online ‘warehouse deals’. In the electrical offers they have names you will recognise like Russell Hobbs and Morphy Richards in their half price offers.

That’s it for today. If you’ve spotted some good offers, please share them in the comments box. You can follow this blog by entering you email address at the top of the sidebar or follow me on Twitter for updates.
