Resolutions #life

Today’s picture is a little bit misty, so one of my resolutions for 2016 is to go back and take that picture again when the sun is shining. It’s a place where fishing is popular too, so I might get a few anglers in the photo.

Goals and targets

I think to achieve anything you have to set yourself goals and targets. I intend to improve my photography and writing and develop this website even more. I might even get a sponsor in 2016!

I also want to improve the SEO, that’s search engine optimisation because I don’t think the search engines like me very much! This isn’t as easy as it looks. I have already started posting photographs on my Facebook page. I’ll be developing that through 2016 too.

I have become a little involved in the local community recently but I intend to get a lot more involved and promote local activities and businesses. I photographed a charity event, a cricket match, a Christmas lunch for the elders of the town and a pantomime last year. I want to do a lot more this year.

History and heritage

I’m admin of the History of Wednesbury page on Facebook and so I’ll not only continue with that but take photos of our historic buildings around the town. I shall be writing about history and researching our history too.

I think most people can improve their lifestyle and eat better and get more exercise. I intend to do more landscape photography as the weather improves so the walking about will be good exercise. My diet is quite good, but maybe I can cut down on sugar! If we resolve to look after ourselves we will feel better for it by the summer.

Many of us need to make resolutions that involve money. Maybe to start saving or to save more. In my case, I just have to learn to invest more wisely and take fewer risks. I need to be patient too, some of my investments will take years to come good.

Finally, like most people I need to relax more and think more positively. Recognising priorities can be part of that. We often make some problems a high priority when they simply aren’t worth the effort.

What are your resolutions for this year? Have you set goals for yourself? Please share them in the comments box.
