Sunny Sunday #ramble

St Margarets Walsall

My outing last Sunday wasn’t a disaster but the light is quite harsh for photography in early afternoon. I intend to have another go at landscape photography today, but I think I might wait and go out a little later.

My friend runs a creative group on Facebook and has invited me to go on a  group outing but I have no idea where. On Facebook it says Seattle, as we’re in England, that could turn out to be a disaster.

The Daily Post

The Daily Post gives us bloggers one word prompts to inspire us to write, today’s prompt is the word, disaster. That will also be my keyword today to tell the search engines the subject of today’s post.

Sunny Sunday

Anyway, it’s Sunday, so I’m rambling as usual, sharing my thoughts which are mainly about photography but also the week ahead. Our lives are a complex web of relationships and I have to try to communicate with new people this week. I’m also trying to organise a picnic in the park in June for fans of our history page on Facebook. I think the weather could go either way and is the thing most likely to spoil our day. The most likely thing will be showers in June which could delay our starting time. It will be on June the 12th so about a week before summer officially begins. It is all in the hands of the gods, so why worry about it?

Photographs are instant images of places and events and so are great for publicity. If I add a few words they can become a powerful advertisement that can be added to blogs and social media. Photos are very effective on both Facebook and Twitter. I might start doing more images like the one above to promote local organisations and smaller businesses.

That’s it for today. If you would like to follow my blog, just enter your email address at the top of the sidebar or follow me on Twitter for updates. You can find vintage photographs and a lot more on my Facebook page.
