So it’s 2017, I wasn’t expecting to live this long or I would have looked after myself better. Last night my phone said ‘emergency calls only’. I thought maybe the network was overloaded with people wishing each other happy new year. It seems the sim has developed a fault. I have ordered a new one online. My new year isn’t off to a very good start.
Thrifty people are thrifty out of habit and always look for value for money. This doesn’t always mean buying something because it’s cheap, it means always looking to value. It’s the first day of 2014 and it seems incredible that time has gone so quickly. I remember when televisions were large boxes with flickering pictures and only received one channel. I go to museums and I can remember some of the exhibits from my younger days. It’s a public holiday in the UK today; I won’t be doing much, I seem to be getting old… (more…)
I’m writing this on Boxing Day 2012 and this is a time to think about New Year Resolutions. We now have just five days to decide what we will resolve to do in 2013. It could be something we have always wanted to do or something new.
I have started with a snow picture today, just to remind you what it looks like. I read this morning that it’s really hot in Australia. It was stormy here this morning, but the sky seems to be clearing now and we have sunshine. I have one of two things to do today and so I want a little nice weather.
