It’s Sunday morning and so here I go trying to write another Sunday morning ramble. I was out early yesterday photographing narrowboats on the canal. I was even invited to join their tour but that involved walking up some abandoned locks and I know how steep that hill is! It’s a nice day again today and so I’ll be out taking photos again this afternoon. I usually start writing at about nine a clock, but today I thought, look at the time; it was after ten!
It’s Sunday morning and so I allow you a glimpse into the mind of a serial thinker and ideas person; me. The human brain works on chemicals that can make us feel happy or sad or bring back happy memories or painful memories. Dopamine is the one that zaps the reward centres of our brain and that can be quite addictive. I find it quite difficult to stop eating dark chocolate sometimes and I have to really restrict myself when it comes to beer. Both of these things can lead to strange ideas. Time for a picture…
So it’s 2017, I wasn’t expecting to live this long or I would have looked after myself better. Last night my phone said ‘emergency calls only’. I thought maybe the network was overloaded with people wishing each other happy new year. It seems the sim has developed a fault. I have ordered a new one online. My new year isn’t off to a very good start.
It’s Sunday morning and so once again I will let you into the dark passages of my mind with another Sunday ramble. What’s on my mind this week? Well, the super-moon, the weather and the state of the world.
It’s Sunday morning and so once again I share my thoughts with readers. Today, I have bokeh on my mind. What’s that? I think it’s Japanese for blur; anyway, it’s what photographers call the blur in some wide aperture photos like the one below. I want to get sharp portraits with blur in the background. I also want to be able to take better photos under fluorescent lights so I ordered a special filter. In fact, I ordered a set for my 35mm prime lens and another set for my 18 to 105mm lens. At least I didn’t buy a new camera or a lens. I have some self-control; not enough to resist buying a light meter, though.
It’s Sunday morning and so time for another ramble when I allow you into the deepest recesses of my mind and tell you what I’ve been thinking about this week. As usually, I’m concerned with the weather because I have washing on the line. I’ve also been concerned with my health and with communication.
It’s Sunday morning and so as usual I’ll share my innermost thoughts and allow you into the innermost chambers of my mind. These are sacred places that even I’m still discovering. What’s on my mind this morning?
It’s Sunday and so once again I’m sharing my thoughts before I turn my hand to cooking lunch. I’ve been thinking about the days when we had brass bands playing in the park, we read books and listened to the wireless. Nostalgia is all well and good, but we have to look forward and progress. (more…)
My outing last Sunday wasn’t a disaster but the light is quite harsh for photography in early afternoon. I intend to have another go at landscape photography today, but I think I might wait and go out a little later. (more…)
I have figured out the way zoom on my touchpad works in Windows 10. Yes, us computer users have to start learning the smartphone actions. It could help me learn how to use the zoom on a smartphone, I suppose… (more…)
On a Sunday, I ramble on about whatever is on my mind. Today, it’s the weather amongst other things. We might have a little snow later this week. It’s cold this morning so I might have to sort out my Arctic gear! (more…)
It’s Sunday morning and so as usual I’ll let you into the dusty pathways of my mind and just write about whatever I find there! For most of my life I have felt misunderstood, I think everyone does at some time… (more…)
