It’s Sunday morning and so I’m writing another, make it up as you go along, post. I went to Rough Hay Community Centre in Darlaston yesterday and photographed their summer fayre. There is no place in the country like Darlo, half the town is owned by the local slum-lord.
Colours do affect our moods and we associate different colours with different things. White is associated with purity, red is associated with excitement and black is seen as morbid and depressing. Bright colours are associated with fun and are favoured by children, yellow in particular. (more…)
Today’s picture is of Forge Mill lake in Sandwell Valley, West Bromwich. The temperature at the moment where I am in Central England is 20C, but set to rise higher later. It went as high as 40C in places yesterday. (more…)
It’s only just over two weeks now to the summer solstice and we have really good light on sunny days for landscape photography; but I’m looking now for colourful events like summer carnivals and fun days. These two lovely ladies did a great pose in the summer sunshine. (more…)
