If you’re a regular readers then you’ll know that Neodigital Art is about taking digital images and turning them into art. This image was a photograph that I took while experimenting with different camera settings. I took the photo through the window. I’ve since done some more editing to turn it into a Christmas Greetings image and changed the tint and added a message.
I’m still looking for a suitable image to edit that I can enter in an exhibition. It will probably be a summer exhibition and so I don’t want anything too depressing. I’ve started taking more photos of buildings rather than landscapes. The Nikon D3200 seems more suited to buildings; it focuses better on a defined subject. (more…)
If you are following my blog posts this week, you’ll know I’m having an art week. The region of England where I live, isn’t well known for art. It could be, but someone has to lead a new art movement. I don’t really think the local galleries will provide leadership, they don’t rate the local artists very highly. The great artists come from London, Paris, Vienna, Rome and New York, not Walsall.
The photo today is of the River Tame in Sandwell Valley Country Park. I’m not sure where I’ll go today. I want to go somewhere, because the weather forecast is good. At Walsall it’s the Caldmore Village Festival in Palfrey Park. I was going to photograph that last year, but the weather wasn’t very good.
The building in the picture is the ‘Public’ on West Bromwich, High St. For the benefit of my American readers, we can build you one just like it if you have about a hundred million dollars to spare. It is very symbolic. It symbolises the Orwellian big brother society to me. Notice the CCTV camera on the right of the picture. Whose to blame?
