This is a bridge over an arm of the Walsall canal at Wednesbury. Will this exist in 50 years time? I have put a copyright notice at the bottom showing who took the photo and when.This helps preserve my rights as photographer.
In the Black Country, we have no shortage of canals. This is the Walsall Canal at Ocker Hill, that runs through Tipton, Wednesbury, Darlaston and ends up at Walsall Art gallery. It’s an interesting picture, but a little messy because there are so many reflections on the water. (more…)
We went out to take some photographs yesterday around the Black Country and the canals are an obvious place to look for interesting pictures. We were lucky enough to spot a narrow-boat negotiating top-lock at Tipton. (more…)
This is the waterfront bar near Walsall Art Gallery where I went on Sunday. It’s a reasonable good place to take photographs especially in bad weather, because I can also go into the art gallery. (more…)
I’ve been asked to represent the Black Country by entering a waterways photography competition and so I had my waterways shots planned out on Sunday. This stretch of the Walsall canal faces north so I wanted to be there close to midday. This Black Country lad caught a pike so I had to record this event for posterity!
