The end of the year is nigh

All Saints 040

I live in an urban area and so I value the pockets of countryside that we have and even the parks are important. Britain is an island with a growing population. I am in favour of population control so we don’t have to keep on building on green land. We have to try for sustainability, growth isn’t everything.

Imagine if everyone in the world owned a car. The price of fuel for them would rise with the huge demand and the roads would be so clogged, one would get anywhere.

Sheep, shepherds and shopping was Thursday’s thrifty blog. Did you follow the crowds to the sales like a good little sheep? Did you get fleeced? You’ll know better next year!

Resolutions and goals was Wednesday’s post. Do you have any goals for 2013. I am still working on mine. I want to continue doing what I am already doing, developing this website and improving what I do. I do need something new to get excited about though and so I’ll be looking for new challenges.

Merry Christmas 2012 was my Christmas day post. Yes, I even did some writing on Christmas Day. You can still read my Christmas story too. That proved quite popular and a good example of how to publish a story online.

Christmas Eve 2012 was a similar post. Do you think Christmas is too commercial? More wonga than conga?

Nearly Christmas 2012 was my usual Sunday ramble, when I take a less than serious look at life. That was the end of a week that had the winter solstice coincide with the Mayan end of the world prediction.

It’s nearly a year since I started this website. In fact the first few weeks it didn’t work because of server problems, so although I have some things up for renewal the actual web space for this site got a 1 month extension, because the site was down for a day earlier in the year. I must get it sorted out and try to get a discount on the space. It has been a challenge getting the site right. the main problem was the font size, but it seems OK now.

I still need guest writers and even if you have never written anything or had anything published, you’re welcome to have a go!

I hope you have all had a great Christmas and are looking forward to a New Year that will be prosperous, with lots of new opportunities.
